Descente ALLTERRAIN and JJJJound Deliver Alpine-Ready Techwear for FW24
Rendered in a palette of light gray and soft storm blue.
JJJJound and Descente ALLTERRAIN have unveiled the first chapter of their collaboration, presenting a collection that seamlessly blends technical expertise with minimalist design. Reimagining functional alpine-inspired pieces for urban living, the pieces draw from Descente’s 90-year legacy as a high-performance sportswear pioneer.
Catering to both the refined and the rugged urban explorer, this collection combines DESCENTE’s technical prowess with JJJJound’s minimalist style. Chapter 1 shifts the focus from the slopes to the streets, redefining urban winter essentials with functional yet chic silhouettes.
Centering on a light gray and soft storm blue palette, the lineup features breathable mesh athletic T-shirts and 1/4 zip microfleece sweaters as base layers, ensuring an effective foundation. Secondary layers, like a thin nylon ripstop vest and a streamlined puffer jacket, provide practical insulation without added bulk. Accessories such as microfleece gloves, a ski mask and a tape-seamed nylon as well as a mesh cap complete the lineup, all the while maintaining a sleek and versatile aesthetic.
Highlighted from the drop is the Storm Blue Down Jacket, high-insulation outwear that maximizes warmth and comfort with its unique, sleeping-bag-inspired structure. Lightweight yet windproof PERTEX® QUANTUM fabric, it features a water-repellent finish, hand-warmer pockets, ample storage and an adjustable hem, making it a practical winter piece for the everyday.
The collaboration will be officially released on December 12, exclusively through JJJJound’s website. Starting December 14, the pieces will also be available through select Descente retailers in Japan, Korea and China.
