GALLERY DEPT. and ASICS have reunited for another bold and innovative collaboration, perfectly timed for Art Basel Miami 2024. This partnership unveils the all-new ASICS GEL-K1011, a cutting-edge silhouette that fuses the artistic vision of GALLERY DEPT. founder Josué Thomas with ASICS’ renowned Sportstyle innovation.

The collection debuts in three striking colorways, each with a distinct narrative. The Hand-Painted “Black/White” edition is a standout and true artistic statement. The design embodies raw creativity, featuring a black base with rugged white paint overlays. Bold white brushstrokes extend across the dark outsoles, tongue and heel, with each pair uniquely hand-painted by in-house artisans, ensuring no two are alike and reflecting Thomas’ unmistakable artistic identity.

The “Khaki/Clay Canyon” colorway channels the spirit of the outdoors, blending earthy tones for a trail-inspired aesthetic. A sage green base is accented by deep brown overlays, with muted mud-green outlines completing the rugged, nature-inspired design. Meanwhile, the “White/Silver” edition takes on a clean, sporty vibe. Blue and silver overlays enhanced a crisp white base, while vibrant red and gold details on the tongue and heel add a bold splash of color, bringing a dynamic edge to the design.

Built with wide-spaced mesh bases and wavy leather overlays, the GEL-K1011 sneakers deliver a visually captivating look. Signature elements like “DEPT.” stenciled across the toe box, GALLERY DEPT.’s yellow heel tab, and ASICS’ iconic tiger stripes add a cohesive identity to the collection.
