The Percival x Ford Collection Fuses Refined English Style with American Auto Iconography
The London-based menswear brand has tapped American auto pioneer Ford Motor Company for a limited edition capsule.
London-based apparel label Percival has unveiled its collaborative capsule with Ford Motor Company, which nods to Ford’s more than 100-year history with authentic antique graphics and classic Percival’s vintage silhouettes.
The range includes graphic tees, collared shirting, outerwear, and accessories, each with unique Ford graphics and embellishments. Standing out among the collection is the Raceway Leather Bomber–an extremely limited-run piece with only 15 in existence. The jacket is tastefully pared-back with a black-on-black embroidered Ford wordmark and an internal patch with a hand-numbered 1/15 call-out.
Elsewhere, the Checkerboard Overshirt offers a more expressive style with a duo-tone black and blue pattern and a classic colored Ford logo at the breast. Other notable shirts include the striped Mustang Football Shirt (referring back to Percival’s English provenance) and the Dealership Knitted Polo, a mid-century-inspired garment made in a patterned ecru knit with blue striped accents at the ribbed hems. Antique illustrations are found on the jersey knits like the Mach Won! ‘69 Mustang Oversized T-Shirt, which shows a 60s-era Mustang advertisement on the backside.
The collection is rounded out with accessories like the Soft Trucker Cap adorned with white contrast brim roping and vintage embroidery, and the simplistic white-and-black jacquard socks, featuring an enlarged intarsia Ford logo.
