COMME des GARÇONS Reworks Alpha Industries' MA-1 Jacket
The latest spin on the brand’s staple silhouette.
Alpha Industries‘ MA-1 Jacket has grown to become both the brand’s signature silhouette as well as a canvas for collaboration. While Lee and Resident Advisor both offered their respective visions to the jacket earlier this year, COMME des GARÇONS is the latest contributor to apply its distinct design eye to the label’s staple.
COMME des GARÇONS and Alpha Industries have collided to unveil what they’re calling the “MA-1 WEP Reversible Jacket.” Engulfed in an all-black hue, the flight jacket, as its name suggests, is reversible in form and sees CDG draw inspiration from the WEP jacket worn by the US Navy during the 1970s.

The jacket is equipped with its typical functional pocketing on the exterior and interior, with cuffed sleeves, button closure on the neck and a zipper down the middle. Branded hits appear in sleek all-white lettering, with CDG logos stamped on the back of the silhouette. An Alpha Industries tag is also attached to the back of the neck.
