Type 7 Joins Loopwheeler for Porsche 993-Inspired "Sevenwheeler" Collection
Utilizing traditional Tsuriamiki machines to produce garments of unmatched quality.
Type 7, the Porsche-powered magazine, has teamed up with legendary Japanese clothing maker Loopwheeler and designers House Industries to unveil the limited-edition “Sevenwheeler” capsule collection. This collaboration celebrates the synergy between craftsmanship, analog experiences and timeless design.
Loopwheeler, founded by Satoshi Suzuki in 1999, is renowned for its use of traditional Tsuriamiki machines to create refined cotton apparel. These historic machines, operating at a deliberate pace, produce fabrics that modern machinery can’t replicate, embodying a philosophy of precision and patience shared by classic air-cooled Porsches.
House Industries, led by Andy Cruz, brought their artistic expertise to the collection, inspired by Suzuki’s personal Porsche 993 Carrera RS. Their designs blend playfulness with precision, capturing the essence of both the Loopwheeler process and Porsche’s analog heritage.
The collection includes a limited series of printed artworks by House Industries, a custom Sevenwheeler rug and an exclusive luxury zine published by ERG Media. Featuring photography by Type 7 Creative Director Thomas Walk, the zine offers an intimate look at Loopwheeler’s meticulous production process, celebrated by fashion enthusiasts worldwide.
Learn more about the project in the short film below. As for the collection, it will be available to shop starting December 5 at 12:00 CET, exclusively on Type 7’s official site and at Loopwheeler’s store.
