Jacquemus Hosts a Mysterious Holiday Bingo Party at One of Paris's Architectural Marvels
Held at Espace Niemeyer, the historic headquarters of French Communist Party.

Jacquemus‘s brand marketing seems to get increasingly spectacular by the minute, from orchestrating a frenzy outside its inaugural NYC boutique with a surprise appearance from founder Simon Porte Jacquemus to its viral “Winter Retreat” campaign, which placed Model of the Year Alex Consani at the front of its surreal moving set-design. And what screams spectacle more than hosting a holiday game night with luxury prizes inside the former headquarters of the French Communist Party?
On Thursday night, Jacquemus invited special guests to Espace Niemeyer, an official historic monument in Paris originally built to house offices of the French Communist Party. Commissioned in 1965 and completed in 1971 by Brazilian modernist architect Oscar Niemeyer, the building has a distinct air of retrofuturism inside and out.

But the designer did not invite his guests for a night of socialist debate–actually quite the opposite occurred. According to WWD, the party was centered around a French version of Bingo called “la oterie.” Reminiscent of a cable TV game show scene, marked balls were pulled from an air-powered shuffling machine on the stage, while numbers were called out.
Lucky winners got to take home Jacquemus prizes including knitted caps, scarves, gloves and even handbags, all displayed theatrically on white pedestals. Once the final round was reached, WWD reported that the founder appeared to present the grand prize: a 2,000-euro shopping spree at Jacquemus’ Avenue Montaigne flagship in Paris. Aside from the 10 winners of the game, all guests got to take home Jacquemus Christmas ornaments modeled after the designer’s accessories.
