IAB-Studio Enters the World of Pokémon
The Seoul-based label has put together a clever mini capsule based on Unown.
IAB-Studio is back for Fall/Winter 2024 with a new collaboration, this time teaming up with Pokémon for a three-piece capsule that prominently features the Pokémon Unown. Introduced in Generation II’s Johto region, Unown is the “Symbol Pokémon” and comes in 28 different forms. Each form sees an eye accompanied by appendages shaped based on letters of the English alphabet, as well as a question mark and exclamation point, which are forms that were added in Generation III.
The mysterious Pokémon is used across all three of the capsule’s items, starting with the grey hoodie that features Unown that translate to “IAB Studio” at the front and back. As for the white tee, its Unown-covered front reads “Pokémon x IAB Studio, to be continued,” indicating that more is to come from the duo. It also has a large “IAB Studio” hit in English at the back. Rounding out the range, an Unown keychain that reads “IAB” has been produced.
For those interested in shopping the three-piece Pokémon x IAB-Studio Unown capsule, it is set to drop on November 4 exclusively via WORKSOUT. Prices start at ₩22,000 KRW (approx. $16 USD) for the keychain and go up to ₩50,000 KRW (approx. $36 USD) and ₩83,000 KRW (approx. $60 USD) for the tee and hoodie respectively.
