Goldfish Gets a "Grown-Up" Makeover as "Chilean Sea Bass"
As part of a limited-time rebrand.
Goldfish has given its beloved cheddar crackers a cheeky new name, “Chilean Sea Bass,” in a playful twist aimed at its adult fans. While these limited-edition crackers look and taste just like classic Goldfish, their upscale rebranding aims to appeal to the growing number of adult snackers. With over half of Goldfish buyers being adults, the temporary rebrand nods to nostalgia and a modern craving for fun, grown-up snacking.
Danielle Brown, Vice President of Goldfish, explains, “We know the love for Goldfish spans all ages. Chilean Sea Bass is a playful nod to adults that the iconic fish-shaped snack is for grown-up tastes too.” Following recent, adult-oriented flavors like OLD BAY Seasoned and Frank’s RedHot, this rebrand reinforces the idea that Goldfish are not just for kids.
While the limited edition Chilean Sea Bass crackers were available for just over $7 USD via a dedicated site, they’ve since sold out. However, some bags can still be found via various secondary market sites.
