WOKE EDGE Presents Debut Collection
A diverse and dynamic delivery defined by its distressed detailing.
Japan-based emerging brand WOKE EDGE has presented its first-ever fully-fledged collection. Drawing cues from vintage Americana and workwear style codes, WOKE EDGE offers up a commendable debut delivery, complemented by a lineup of local pop-ups and parties in Tokyo and Nagoya.
WOKE EDGE’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection is a compilation of contrasts, spanning military-leaning workwear on one end of the spectrum and graphic loungewear on the other. However, the rookie label remains true to its name, with its edgy ethos expressed through tastefully distressed detailing uniting all of the drop’s garments.
Jacketing includes neutral-hued work jackets, finished off with intentional tattered hems and further shredded detailing lining the zipper and pocketing. A cream-colored knit sweater is stamped with a blue mosaic-style graphic that reads “WOKE” under each portrait.
Denim is also distressed in its patching, whereas, on the more casual side, two-toned hoodies read “Virginia Shore.” Patterns are present in the collection’s pair of camouflage cargo pants and flannel button-down shirts, the latter of which are finished off with “WOKE EDGE” branding etched above the chest pocketing.
