adidas and Pokémon have expanded their 30th anniversary partnership with a set of character-themed leather jackets, headlining a broader apparel capsule that runs alongside the collab’s character sneaker colorways. Built on an old-school 8-Ball bomber silhouette, the collared leathers arrive in three versions keyed to Pikachu, Charizard and Gengar.
The construction leans into classic bomber cues rather than overt novelty. Each jacket places its Pokémon large across the back, positioned like a sports team crest, while the front breast keeps things restrained with an adidas Trefoil. The character coding continues down the arms, with leather sleeves finished in a color pulled from each Pokémon: yellow for the Pikachu version, orange for Charizard and purple for Gengar. A smaller Poké Ball graphic is sewn on at the elbow across all three, and the jackets are cut in unisex sizing.
That team-jacket logic is a natural fit for where Pokémon sits in 2026. The franchise has spent its 30th anniversary running an outsized slate of collaborations and product launches, and adidas has been a steady partner through the celebration, pairing this apparel capsule with a wide run of character sneaker makeups. The leather jackets read as the dress-up counterpart to those sneakers, translating the same character-first approach into a heritage outerwear staple.
The Pokémon x adidas 8-Ball jackets are available now through Dick’s Sporting Goods, with a wider release via adidas expected later this September.
