Noah and Barbour Reunite for Archive-Inspired Coat Collaboration
Reimagining Barbour’s hero silhouettes from the ’80s in new wool and cotton textiles.
British lifestyle label Barbour has reunited with New York-based brand Noah for their fifth annual collaboration for the Fall/Winter 2024 season. In a mixture of workwear and tailoring, the lineup reimagines staple silhouettes from the Barbour archive dating back to the 1980s with all-new wool and cotton builds.
“For this season’s Barbour collaboration, we stuck to the classic jacket shapes we’ve always loved from them,” said Brendon Babenzien, Noah’s creative director, in a statement. “We used some of our favorite fabrics like Casentino Wool, Donegal Wool, and Cotton Canvas that feel right for the season. We always aim for materials that are tough and built to last. Barbour jackets, more than any other, have a timeless quality that allows them to get passed down from one generation to the next.”
The lineup leads with the Barbour x Noah Bedale Jacket, a unisex coat modeled after Barbour’s most-beloved archival styles with the aforementioned Casentino wool in “black,” “dark green” and “tangerine” tones. The Border Jacket, meanwhile, employs a longer shape made from Donegal Tweed; and the Cotton Bedale coat is salt-washed to create a time-worn patina in “black,” “pomegranate” and “green” hues.
“A fifth-year collaboration with Noah is fantastic, and this AW24 collection really feels like an evolution of our previous collaborations, which have been received well by both audiences,” said Ian Bergin, Barbour’s director of menswear. “Brendon’s interpretation of Barbour always feels creative and innovative while respectfully nodding to our roots – it’s this which makes the partnership such a natural fit.”
The Noah x Barbour collection will become available to shop online and in select stores on November 4. Take a look at the lineup in the gallery above.
