J.Crew and Barbour are reuniting for a limited-edition collaboration that places two enduring outerwear signatures in each other’s hands. Bringing J.Crew’s American prep sensibility together with Barbour’s English craftsmanship, the two-piece capsule sees each brand reinterpret the other’s icon: Barbour’s Beaufort jacket and J.Crew’s Barn Jacket, the latter a mainstay of the American retailer since 1986.
The capsule presents a fresh interpretation of both classics through eye-catching colorways and bespoke details. J.Crew injects a vibrant spin into Barbour’s Beaufort Jacket with a bold Apple Green hue, accented by a contrasting hunter green corduroy collar, tartan lining and an exclusive apple enamel lapel pin. Rather than Barbour’s traditional waxed cotton, this iteration is crafted from J.Crew’s Hybrid/Aero™ waxed cotton, sourced from Scotland’s Halley Stevensons. Its light and flexible emulsified wax finish is designed to develop a unique patina over time.
Meanwhile, Barbour updates J.Crew’s Waxed Barn Jacket in a timeless Blackwatch plaid, paired with a cognac corduroy collar and a custom English spaniel enamel lapel pin.
