For its 30th anniversary, Nanga returns with limited-edition pieces dedicated to helping adventurers conquer the elements of the great outdoors. Continuing a series of notable collaborations and celebratory releases throughout 2024, the Japanese brand unveils a revamped selection of pieces combining AURORA TEX® and AURORA TEX® LIGHT, two signature waterproof and breathable textiles. The collection, fusing fashion and function, caters to lifestyle and recreational needs, offering a wide range of products, including outdoor bedding equipment.

Nanga first rose to prominence in 1941 as a bedding manufacturer named “Yokota Sewing.” Thirty years later, the brand remains a trusted purveyor of fashion goods and outdoor-oriented lifestyle essentials suited for the modern adventurer. Following this theme, an all-new down jacket highlights the versatile nature of the collection, featuring AURORA TEX® for durability throughout the shell and AURORA TEX® LIGHT for areas that require mobility. Accompanying down pants that seamlessly pair back to the jacket primarily feature AURORA TEX® LIGHT throughout the silhouette, with AURORA TEX® materials incorporated to help alleviate areas prone to stress and friction, such as the knees and waist, creating an elevated panel design.

Commemorative anniversary decals hit the right sleeve of the down jacket and right knee of the down pants: the number “30” rises behind a snow-covered mountain. The custom patches are removable via a velcro system, and once detached, they reveal embroidered “NANGA” lettering and a motif of the Nanga Parbat (the ninth-highest mountain on Earth).

The collection arrives in two distinct colorways: “N.RED (NANGA RED) x BLK,” Nanga’s signature red-and-black colorblocking, and “BLK x BLK,” which emphasizes the sleek, stealthy monochromatic pairing of both textiles. Nanga’s first-ever sleeping bag and a unique winter sandal — designed in collaboration with Japanese footwear brand SUBU — complete the release. Like the apparel pieces, the sleeping back incorporates AURORA TEX® on the back panel for durability and AURORA TEX® LIGHT on the front panel to prioritize lightweight comfort. This same combination is seen in the seasonal winter sandal, which aims to create a flexible foot feel while withstanding natural elements.

Nanga’s 30th-anniversary collection is now available to browse and shop on the brand’s website, in person at flagship locations and authorized third-party retailers. See the collection in action in the lookbook above.
