Bottega Veneta Brings the Intrecciato Weave to an Iconic Flos Lamp
The “Model 600” table lamp now features a bean-bag like base in the fashion house’s signature leather.
In its latest foray into the design world, Bottega Veneta has collaborated with fellow Italian brand Flos to create a special edition of the Model 600 table lamp.
Originally designed by Gino Sarfatti in 1966, the lamp featured – for the time – a non-conventional form that was supple and flexible rather than rigid. Its base was made from a leather case filled with lead shot pellets, allowing the lamp to be easily set down and angled.

Beyond the two brands originating in Italy, this project uncovered more similarities between the fashion house and Sarfatti. The lamp was designed in 1966; Bottega Veneta began in 1966, and from a visual perspective, the lamp was reminiscent of some of Bottega Veneta’s early bag designs with soft, squishy forms crafted in smooth leather.
Now, for the new version, the Model 600 comes in the signature Bottega Veneta Intrecciato and Intreccio Foulard editions. The flexibility of the original design is retained, with the lamp providing direct or soft light depending on how it is positioned. Available in small and large editions, it comes in black, grey, red, emerald green, and signature Bottega Veneta green.
