Zenith Reconnects with Collective Horology to Release the Defy Skyline C.X Edition
Drawing aesthetic cues from 20th-century industrial design.
Zenith has teamed up with Collective Horology once again to unveil a limited-edition timepiece. Going by the name of Defy Skyline C.X Edition, the new collaboration reimagines Zenith’s signature model with a refreshing, “less is more” approach.
Drawing inspiration from 20th-century industrial design, the collaborative time-teller arrives in a tonal look, with its case, bezel and dial all doused in a matte silvery-grey. Housed in a 41mm stainless steel build, the dial features an iconic starry sky pattern, a small-second display alongside lume-filled hands and indices.
Viewable through the transparent caseback, the El Primero 3620 SK Manufacture caliber is fitted with a star-shaped oscillating weight, beating at an astounding rate of 36,000 vph, complete with 55 hours of power reserve.
Synonymous with regular iteration of the Defy Skyline, the C.X Editions features a fully interchangeable strap system. The timepiece is accompanied by a stainless steel bracelet as its primary option and comes with an additional orange rubber strap.
Priced at $12,300 USD and limited to only 200 examples, the Defy Skyline C.X Edition will first be released on Zenith’s online boutique and via Collective Horology. Starting December 19, it will also be available to purchase through Zenith’s physical boutiques.
