Nike is reviving yet another archival silhouette with the return of the 2001-born Nike Air Superfly. Staying true to the original feel of the style, while adding contemporary touches, the new Nike Air Superfly fits right in with the industry-wide retro runner revival. The sleek model will arrive in a trio of simple colorways, offering a versatile yet expressive range.
At the center of the Superfly design is the smooth perforated leather uppers that provide a simplistic and aerodynamic feel to the shoe. The leather uppers are complimented with suede overlays extending from the tip of the toebox and throughout the tongues. The original heel counter’s unconventional geometry is reprised in the 2025 model, adding a subtle contrast to the mostly curvilinear design.
The Lab Green model offers a fresh earthbound color palette recalling moss and soil, the Triple Black model reflects its title, boasting all-black details for a minimalistic vibe and finally, the Metallic Silver joins the roster of chrome-hued releases taking over the sneaker scene today.
Nike initially teased the re-release of the Superfly earlier this week, with a post from track and field star Sha’Carri Richardson wearing the Metallic Silver colorway.
The new Nike Air Superfly is set for release in January 2025 via the Nike web store and select retailers.
