Michael Jordan Takes Delivery of One-Off Pininfarina Battista Targamerica
The world’s first coach-built electric hypercar, sporting 1,900 hp.
Automobili Pininfarina has delivered its first one-off coach-built model, the Battista Targamerica, to none other than legendary basketball player Michael Jordan. Originally unveiled at The Quail, A Motorsport Gathering during Monterey Car Week, this bespoke hypercar showcases the brand’s commitment to creating “Dream Cars. Made Real.”
As the world’s first coach-built electric hypercar, the Battista Targamerica blends state-of-the-art performance with deeply personalized design. Commissioned by Jordan, this masterpiece reflects his individuality and preferences, down to unique touches like a custom cigar humidor integrated into the cabin.
The car’s open-top design, crafted from carbon fiber, delivers an exceptional driving experience while maintaining the incredible performance of its sibling, the Battista. Powered by four electric motors and a 120 kWh battery, the Targamerica boasts 1,900 hp, propelling it from 0 to 60 in under two seconds, with a top speed exceeding 186 mph.
Finished in a stunning Argento Liquido Gloss with Iconica Blu accents, the Battista Targamerica is a nod to one of Pininfarina’s legendary creations, the 1986 Ferrari Testarossa Spider. Inside, the car features bespoke tan leather upholstery and a specially tailored luggage set.
“This is a seminal moment,” said Paolo Dellachà, CEO of Automobili Pininfarina. “Our world-class artisans have delivered something truly special – the first electric open-top hypercar designed to a very exacting client’s specifications.”
