French Surfer Kauli Vaast Is Dior’s Newest Ambassador
Leading up to the Olympic Games in Paris.

Aside from clothes and accessories, one of the most important tools a brand can have is a wide-reaching team of brand ambassadors. In today’s practice, it seems like brands big and small and lengthening their rosters on a fairly frequent basis – raging from music superstars to some of the best athletes. With that in mind, Dior is expanding its roster by tapping French surfer Kauli Vaast as its newest brand ambassador.
Hailing from Papeete, French Polynesia, the 21-year-old surfer is one of the sport’s key emerging names. What makes the athlete stand out is his quality for the Olympics at the 2023 ISA World Surfing Games. With the Paris Olympics on the horizon, Dior’s decision represents a key choice in building out its team leading up to the celebrated world event this summer.
“I’m honored and proud to join this magnificent fashion house, which moves forward day by day with audacity and creativity, just as I must do in surf,” explained Vaast in an official statement to WWD. Also to note, the surfer is the first male athlete recruited by the French luxury house leading up to the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, France.
