The Air Jordan 2 Suits up in "Sail" Next Week
Kicking off the silhouette’s 38th year with an off-white and black colorway.
2022 may have been the year of the Air Jordan 2, but Jordan Brand is proving that the silhouette is here to stay in the division’s rotation. In recent months, its low-top version has held the spotlight with its “Christmas” colorway and upcoming inclusion in the “Year of the Dragon” collection. However, the original high-top iteration of the shoe is ready to make a splash in its 38th year by debuting in 2024 with a “Sail” colorway.
Kicking off the new look on the Air Jordan 2, the base of its upper utilizes a smooth leather finish in off-white. From there, its signature overlay arrives with plenty of contrast offered courtesy of its textured leather carrying a sharp black hue. Distinct notes in black also appear around the heel and at the tongue’s Wings logo. Elsewhere, the mudguard returns to off-white, matching a majority of the rubber outsole while a white midsole rests atop it.
While it hasn’t been added to Nike SNKRS just yet, this Air Jordan 2 “Sail” colorway should be releasing via the platform next week on January 10 at a price of $175 USD, as well as via select retailers. Stay tuned for updates in case any last minute adjustments are made to its launch procedure.
