Diddy is giving his publishing rights to the artists and songwriters of Bad Boy Entertainment.

Although a Bad Boy rep declined to divulge on more details, Billboard reports that artists such as Faith Evans, Ma$e, The LOX, 112 and the Estate of Biggie Smalls have already signed the papers to recoup their publishing rights, while some figures are still being located and deals being negotiated. Sources note that discussions with artists and songwriters began in May 2021 after Diddy rejected several offers to sell Bad Boy’s catalog — one of them supposedly priced at a whopping nine figures.

Cam’ron confirmed the news on behalf of Ma$e, taking to Instagram to write, “My n***a murder had to sit this one out. He just got his publishing back from Puff. Just finished the paper work for that yesterday. Congrats @rsvpmase while he getting his music back in order, I’m dumping my hard drive pause. The lost files vol 1. Sept 8.”

Meanwhile, Diddy is set to release his upcoming album The Love Album: Off the Grid on September 15, which will feature what could possibly be The Weeknd’s last ever collaboration.

Elsewhere in music, Beyoncé’s RENAISSANCE world tour is now the highest-grossing tour by a female artist in history.
