BEAMS, the Japanese fashion brand founded in 1999 “to house timeless men’s clothing, remembering the good-old American styles that [it] grew up on,” has announced its latest collaboration with classic American backpack and collegiate wears producer JanSport.

Unlike its collaboration in 2021, which featured a more technical take on the brand’s Plus Pack, this latest effort sees a visit sees a simple take on a true classic, the Right Pack. Notable design elements include the removal of the main closures zipper system, replaced by a more accessible knapsack style closure.

The bag features premium suede at the base and as pull tabs on the pocket zippers, as well as the application of classic JanSport logo patches, providing a sense of nostalgia. Created with camping in mind, the pack is set to be released in four different colors, including black, green, navy and burgundy as part of the BEAMS BOY line — the release will also include limited edition BEAMS sticker sets.

While expected to release September 2, the retail price for the latest collaboration between BEAMS and JanSport has not yet been shared at the time of writing but keep an eye on the BEAMS BOY official page for updates.
