In less than half of a year on shelves, Ja Morant and Nike Basketball have established the young guard’s first signature shoe, the Nike Ja 1, as a key offering from the division. Despite running into off-the-court problems, Morant continues to sell one look after another, building on the momentum brought forth by his initial “Day One” and Swarovski-adorned “Midnight” looks.

With the NBA still enjoying its offseason, the Ja 1 continues to hit shelves, with the newly-revealed “Laser Orange” pair as his next entry in the “Midnight Series” of colorways. Its mesh upper rocks the aforementioned orange, matching the laces and base of the tongue. From there, an almost-black hue offers ample contrast at the Swooshes, heel, lining and base of the tongue tag. Typical branding elements include Morant’s signature, the number 12, a dotted “JA” note and his logo in orange at the tongue. A slightly-darker orange wraps around the heel while greys stack at the textured sole unit.

As we await word of Morant’s second signature shoe, various colorways of the Ja 1 are gearing up for a release, including this “Laser Orange” pair that is scheduled to drop on August 10 via Nike and select retailers at a price of $110 USD, just one day before the “Light Smoke Grey” look.
