BLACKPINK is the latest addition to VERDY‘s lengthy list of collaborations, as the Japanese artist and graphic designer has been named the creative director of the K-pop group’s ongoing tour. Verdy has worked with everyone from Nike (through his Girls Don’t Cry and Wasted Youth labels) to Human Made and Levi’s, but his new BLACKPINK partnership marks the first time he’s dipped his toes into the world of K-pop, and he’s designed an exclusive collection to celebrate the next leg of the group’s nearly year-long tour.

Currently, no pictures of Verdy’s work for the group has been revealed — but, in the press images announcing the collaboration, his familiar Vick character is shown next to what appears to be a cartoonized version of KRUNK, YG Entertainment’s (Blackpink’s label) mascot. The designer’s Girls Don’t Cry and Wasted Youth creations, as well as his familiar Vick character, indicate that his Blackpink merch will likely showcase vibrant, cartoon-influenced designs. For the Born Pink Tour, he plans to amalgamate this unique world-building approach with the BLACKPINK’s radiant feminine aesthetic.

BLACKPINK members have been up making big moves individually as well. Following her acting debut in HBO’s The Idol, Jennie is starting to dabble more in the film space, with recent rumors linking her to the upcoming Marvel film. Additionally, Jisoo released her first solo album entitled Me back in March.
