Saturdays NYC and Oakley's New Collaboration Is for City Dwellers and Beachgoers Alike

Surf-inspired lifestyle label Saturdays NYC has partnered with sportswear imprint Oakley for an eyewear and apparel collection inspired by the duality of city and beach lifestyles. Driven by a shared penchant for free-spiritedness, the two labels want to showcase how surfing goes far beyond the sport itself, with a selection of retro-inspired styles that bring California’s waves to the heart of New York City.

Among the range, the Oakley Hydra frames receive a new lease on life with Saturdays’ vibrant Prizm™ Ruby lenses, which “tune in color and tune out distractions,” and custom branding etched onto the front of the lenses. Elsewhere, an apparel lineup, consisting of co-branded hoodies, T-shirts and boardshorts, adheres to both metropolitan and boardwalk dress codes.

“Partnering with Saturdays NYC for us meant bringing to life our shared passion for the beach lifestyle,” said Brian Takumi, Oakley’s VP of Brand Soul. “This collaboration allows us to showcase the best of both brands and create a window for our customers to surf their way from the city directly to the waves.”

“Saturdays NYC lies at the core of surf culture, living and breathing the beach way of life. We found Oakley in our shared love for the waves, and we could not wait to ride this one together,” added Colin Tunstall and Morgan Collett, co-founders of Saturdays NYC.

The Oakley x Saturdays NYC collection will be available for purchase beginning June 15 on Oakley and Saturdays NYC’s webstores, as well as in the brand’s retail stores. Take a look at the range in the gallery above.
