Saturdays NYC and Marmot have teamed up for the first time on the Saturdays NYC x Marmot Down Parka, a limited reworking of Marmot’s Dima Down Parka Pro. Rather than simply relabeling the original, the two brands rebuilt it from the silhouette outward, folding in utility details pulled from a vintage military coat.
The design takes its cues from the M-47, a vintage military coat whose waist belt, front pockets and placket have been carried over and adjusted to sit on a sharper, contemporary cut. Branding stays restrained throughout, limited to an embroidered Marmot logo on the front patch pocket alongside a small Saturdays NYC slash-logo tag.
The parka’s most striking detail only becomes visible once the front is open. The Charcoal Grey version is backed with a burgundy lining, while the Beige version is paired with light blue, setting up a deliberate contrast between the inside and outside of the jacket. Both the two-tone shell-and-lining treatment and the charcoal shell color itself are exclusive to this collaboration, with neither appearing in Marmot’s standard range.
Performance comes courtesy of a PERTEX SHIELD PRO outer, a waterproof yet breathable fabric that keeps water out while letting moisture escape. Inside, 750-fill-power down delivers serious insulation while keeping the overall weight low. Raglan sleeves follow the natural line of the shoulders, hand-warmer pockets give cold hands somewhere to retreat, and fleece ribbing is tucked inside the cuffs.
The Saturdays NYC x Marmot Down Parka drops November 6 via the official Saturdays NYC online store and the brand’s six stores in Daikanyama, NEWoMan Takanawa, Nagoya, Kobe, Osaka and Hankyu Umeda.
