Every summer, Nike hosts its annual NY vs NY streetball tournament to give the best high school hoopers in the city to showcase their killer crossovers, lights-out shooting range, lockdown defense and slam dunk skills. And when it comes time for all of the basketball action, the brand will often celebrate the event with festive footwear like this Nike KD 16 “NY vs NY” colorway. Two-time NBA champion Kevin Durant was spotted rocking this pair during the 2023 NBA Western Conference Semis, and they’ve finally been unveiled via official imagery.

Design-wise, the hardwood-ready sneakers hone in on a “Team Red” hue. It covers the mesh underlays and tongues, nubuck overlays and TPU plates that are situated on the quarter panels of the lateral and medial walls. Regal hits of “Metallic Gold” poke out through the piping, Swooshes, “NY vs NY” logos on the tongues as well as the “EASY” medallions that are situated on the lower heels.

Peep a closer look at the pair in the gallery above and find these launching on August 12 to align with the conclusion of the tournament. Additionally, the kicks will be priced at $150 USD.

Elsewhere in sneaker news, the summer-ready Nike Air Max 1 Slide “Obsidian” has been revealed.
