A big bag for a small bag.
The headline-dominating art project MSCHF has had a whirlwind month, working with TOMM¥ €A$H to debut its Big Yellow Boots Crocs collaboration at Paris Fashion Week, teasing a Kid Cudi link-up, venturing into a Discord pyramid scheme, and now officially auctioning off its viral Microscopic Handbag via Sarah Andelman‘s Just Phriends sale on Pharrell‘s JOOPITER platform.
MSCHF’s Microscopic Handbag measures 657 by 222 by 700 micrometers, making it smaller than a grain of salt. Despite its size, the art collectible still maintains plenty of detail that’s only visible under the microscope, revealing a design based on familiar high-end luxury bags. It may be microscopic, but its sale price was astronomical: it recently sold for a price of $63,750 USD at auction.
