nanamica FW23 Keeps Technical Fashion Simple

The line prioritizes functionality and comfort, while maintaining the label’s pared-back design ethos.

After dropping off a comfort-first Spring/Summer 2023 collection in December of last year, nanamica is back with a Fall/Winter 2023 range that continues its exploration of “heartwarming life-tech wear.” Across three familiar scenes — “Heading to the Office,” “Home-Tech Wear” and “OOAL/ One Ocean All Lands” — the Tokyo-based casualwear label introduces a fresh lineup of relaxed, cold-weather-ready garments for the forthcoming season.

In its first chapter, “Heading to the Office,” nanamica designs for “creatives working in the city,” with a series of water-resistant ensembles. Among them, a coat, comprised of GORE-TEX fabrications, offers protection in extreme conditions, while a setup suit is equipped with fast-drying and sweat-absorbing capabilities. Rounding out the range, a selection of bags are “highly water-repellent,” too.

In “Home-Tech Wear,” the brand prioritizes comfort for remote work and daily living in private spaces. Here, nanamica puts functionality at the fore, utilizing ODENSHI® fibers to produce a number of tech-wear ensembles ideal for relaxing. And in the third scene, “OOAL/ One Ocean All Lands,” the label delivers several utility-first outerwear ensembles, intended to be worn by the ocean.

In addition to its flagship categories, nanamica’s FW23 collection also includes a new fourth scene, titled “Any Time Works.” In this sub-section, the imprint puts forth a range of versatile ensembles with longevity in mind. The lineup still abides by nanamica’s functional, tech-wear codes, but it’s unbound by categorical descriptors, like its previous collections.
