Over three decades after its initial release, the Nike Air Max 1 is still making noise. One of the brand’s most adored silhouettes, the Air Max 1 continues to play a key role in Nike’s offerings each year. For 2023, the Swoosh hasn’t held back as everything from the original “Big Bubble” look to a new slip-on style of the shoe has hit the market already. Another approach to the sneaker that has been employed by the brand is equipping it with a corduroy upper. Appearing previously on the “Baltic Blue” colorway, the treatment now appears in “Coral Stardust.”

In this latest look, its signature pink hue dresses the layered corduroy upper while a bright peach appears at the corduroy-covered Swooshes. Complementing this, its lining, heel branding and rubber outsole don a wine red while a pinkish-orange hits the tongue tag. Lastly, its Air-backed sole unit is visible, encased within the “Sail”-colored midsole.

Release for the Nike Air Max 1 “Coral Stardust” is expected to take place on May 26 at a price of $160 USD via Nike and select retailers.

For more of the latest news in the footwear space, the Nike Air Max 1 has been spotted sporting a look that nods to Japan’s Urawa Dragons soccer team.
