Over the course of the past few years, sacai and Nike have been a duo known for working in twos — doubling shoes’ Swooshes, laces, tongues and more. In 2018, the LDV Waffle took center stage in a bold “Green Gusto.” Now, it rains color once more as the new Waffle Woven takes on a “Multicolor” arrangement.

First appearing in a blank “White” look, we’ve now been offered a glance at a much more vibrant pair. The woven upper takes on everything from neon green to navy blue as its mixed material build sees key design elements such as the Swooshes broken up by the pattern. Co-branded tongues are stacked atop each other in off-white while simple white rope laces weave through the lacing system. A stacked “Sail” midsole and black rubber outsole then put on the finishing touches in this brief first look.

The latest project from Chitose Abe and Nike — the sacai x Nike Waffle Woven — is expected to land on shelves later this year via Nike and select retailers worldwide. Enjoy a first look at the “Multicolor” pair above and stay tuned for detailed imagery and official release details.
