UPDATE: Official images of the latest Nike Air Force 1 Low “Los Angeles” have surfaced. Paying homage to the City of Angels, the AF1s utilize fabrics that echo Californian skate and workwear styles with blue fabric uppers and gum rubber outsoles. Overt references to L.A. can be found on the metallic Nike Coast pendants, insole markings, and gothic fabric labels on the lateral heel counter. Look for the city-edition pairs to release via Nike and select retailers in the coming weeks for $150 USD.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE

The lifestyle, entertainment and sports found in Los Angeles, CA has been influential to culture for so many years, and Nike will often acknowledge its impact through special footwear installments. The Nike Air Force 1 Low is a silhouette that has often been reworked with elements of the SoCal metropolis, and this season another entry is about to get added into the mix.

From a fabrics standpoint, Nike designers adhered to the workwear trends that are often seen in Californian style, especially as it pertains to the skate community. The uppers of the sneakers ditch their traditional leather builds and bring in a muted blue canvas that’s coupled with tonal Swooshes. Laces are styled in an off-white hue and come accessorized with interstate sign-inspired attachments that read “Nike Coast” and come with metallic silver finishes. Lateral heels expand upon the kicks’ west coast loving as they are adorned with Nike LA badges. Additionally, the insoles are decorated with a the same “LA” logo on the right shoe while a license plate icon graces the left. Gum bottoms and angelic midsoles down below string together its look.

Look for Nike and select retailers to drop this colorway in the coming months for $150 USD.
