Since 2020, word of Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear of God teaming up with adidas has sparked endless curiosity as to what the duo will accomplish in fashion and footwear. Three years later, only a simple merchandise release has taken place — however, it looks like the time has finally come for them to share what has been in development all this time. According to a statement from Jerry Lorenzo that was shared with Complex, the “Fear of God x adidas performance sneakers and ready-to-wear collections will be officially unveiled on April 19 during the Hollywood Bowl showing of Fear of God’s 8th Collection.” The declaration came shortly after a footwear sample from the duo surfaced, to which Lorenzo informed Complex that “this is not the basketball sneaker from Fear of God and adidas.”

While Lorenzo’s phrasing indicates that it is not the duo’s basketball shoe, it remains possible that it will appear as a lifestyle offering. Having leaked today, a familiar tan and black upper has been paired with a mesh structure for ankle support combined with a lockdown strap and flat laces. Other details include the Three Stripes in a contrasting black at the toe box and tonal “FEAR OF GOD” branding at the heel displayed below the Trefoil logo.

Stay tuned for our much-anticipated coverage of Fear of God’s 8th collection on April 19 as we fully sink our teeth into what Lorenzo and the Three Stripes have cooked up.
