Nike is looking back to the ‘90s for inspiration on its latest footwear release. The Nike Air Flight Huarache was Designed by both Tinker Hatfield and Eric Avar and was made popular by the Michigan Wolverines team. Back then, the “Fab Five,” known as Jimmy King, Jalen Rose, Chris Webber, Ray Jackson, and Juwan Howard were often seen in a pair of Huaraches.

As a part of its “Nike Gear” collection, the Oregon-based sportswear giant is releasing the pair of Air Flight Huaraches. Arriving in a Sail, Midnight Navy, Coral Chalk, Laser Blue Speed Yellow and Coconut Milk color scheme, the shoe celebrates gives a nod to the ‘90s apparel line from Nike with its bright contrasts. The shoe is constructed with a mixture of materials, including a neoprene bootie, leather overlays and mesh details. The upper is dressed in mostly white and cream hues while accents are highlighted in pink and blue. Additional details include “Nike Gear” branding on the insoles for that extra touch of ‘90s retro. The heels are adorned with a golden “AIR” embroidery that sits atop a two-toned blue and pink rubber outsole.

Look out for the Nike Air Flight Huarache “Nike Gear” set to release in the coming months at select retailers and on Nike for $125 USD.

In case you missed it, the New Balance 610 has arrived in a “Beef and Broccoli” colorway.
