K-Pop's SEVENTEEN To Drop New Album Next Month
Marking the boy band’s first release since last year’s ‘SECTOR 17.’
K-pop supergroup SEVENTEEN is preparing to drop a new album next month, according to the boy band’s label Pledis Entertainment.
This weekend, on the first night of the band’s three-day fan meeting in Seoul, group member S.Coups revealed the big news to attendees. “Some day in April, we will be back with a great album. We will be back to make your April great,” he said in a fan video during the scheduled “Carat Land” programming.
SEVEENTEEN’s agency later confirmed the news in a press release, with a statement from the band. “We are releasing our next album in April,” they said. “We’re proud of our work, and we promise it will be a month to remember.”
The new project will follow SEVENTEEN’s last full-length effort, SECTOR 17, which arrived in July as a re-packaged version of their previous record, Face the Sun. Notably, SECTOR 17 charted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, while Face the Sun claimed the No. 7 spot.
SEVENTEEN has not yet revealed additional details regarding the release of their next album. Following its arrival next month, SEVENTEEN will host its next fan meeting, titled LOVE, at Japan’s Kyocera Dome Osaka and Tokyo Dome in May.
