PUMA Launches New "VELOPHASIS" Lifestyle Runners
Taking inspiration from the 2000s PUMA COMPLETE line.

After Skepta was seen previewing an unreleased black-and-white colorway of the new VELOPHASIS sneaker earlier last month, PUMA has now officially launched its new lifestyle runner, showcasing the debut colorways and offering context behind the development of the new silhouette. Taking cues from its 2000s PUMA COMPLETE line, which allowed the brand to develop patented technologies such as iCELL and EverRide now used by runners around the world, the Y2K-inspired VELOPHASIS builds on its running heritage while infusing new materials and ideas for today.
The VELOPHASIS “BIONIC” surfaces as the debut colorway of the silhouette, featuring gray honeycomb mesh uppers, silver textured panels, milky sem-translucent fixtures around the collars, bright blue interiors, and gum outsoles. Arriving shortly after the “BIONIC” iteration are three wavy “PHASED” colorways featuring a silver base paired with a medley of electric accents inspired by the Vaporwave movement and Internet culture of the early 2000s.
The PUMA VELOPHASIS Bionic is now available via PUMA and select retailers for $150 USD while the three colorways of the VELOPHASIS Phased series will begin to roll out on February 11. Additional colorways and collaborations will soon follow in Spring 2023 for $130 USD.
