The 2024 Range Rover Velar Offers Advanced Connectivity With a Reductionist Design

Range Rover has unveiled its all-new 2024 Velar SUV, featuring a reductionist design approach that offers a slew of high-tech upgrades. The car manufacturer has revamped the model several times since its introduction in 2017, though the 2024 model provides a much-needed move toward advanced connectivity.
On the exterior, alterations are subtle: the new model includes new front and rear lights with technical, jewel-like constructions, a restyled grille and a new rear bumper. Additionally, the car is available in two new colorways: Metallic Varesine Blue and Premium Metallic Zadar Gray.
Inside, the car receives some more obvious changes. The previous two-screen infotainment system is replaced with a new “floating” 11.4-inch curved glass touchscreen display in the dashboard’s center. Operating with the latest version of Land Rover’s Pivi Pro software, the device incorporated controls for all key vehicle functions.
The 2024 Velar also arrives with new seat designs and materials; among them, the manufacturer offers leather, synthetic suedes and Kvadrat, a Danish wool blend that provides an upscale, eco-friendly substitute for animal hides. Range Rover offers three new leather colors — Cloud, Raven Blue and Deep Garnet — while the steering wheel, air vents and central console don new chrome trims.
The two powertrains remain the same: a 247-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four powers the P250 models, and a 395-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six with a 48-volt hybrid system controls the P400 cars. The S P250 starts at $62,775 USD, and the Dynamic SE P250 begins at $64,875 USD. Meanwhile, the Dynamic SE P400 starts at $71,875 USD, and the Dynamic HSE P400 opens at $79,675 USD. The vehicle is available to order now.
