When it comes to boundary-bending design from Nike, the ISPA line leads the way. Introduced in 2018 with its improve, scavenge, protect and adapt motto, Nike ISPA has incubated various experimental designs for consumers to explore. Always attention-grabbing, the line’s footwear offerings are often met with mixed feedback as the team constantly brews up unconventional looks. With its latest creation revealed in November — the ISPA Mindbody — the division has once again stepped foot into new waters.

While official details have not been disclosed by the Swoosh, biomaterials company Living Ink has confirmed its involvement in the development of the sneaker. Specializing in sustainable algae technologies, Living Ink has developed its Algae Ink product as an alternative to petroleum-derived ink options and is used in the Mindbody’s signature print.

In “Volt,” Nike’s bold flavor of neon green shines through patches of black across the upper and sole that play into the silhouette’s theme of corrosion. A toggle lacing system runs throughout the upper with a slightly bulbous sole unit arriving in a “Sail” and black combination similar to the colorway that surfaced previously.

We’ve yet to see the Nike ISPA Mindbody hit shelves but it is expected to launch this spring via Nike and select retailers as the ISPA line’s newest silhouette.

Stay tuned for official release information and for more footwear news, Nike’s Air Foamposite One is rumored to be returning in “Anthracite” after last being issued in 2020.
