atmos x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14 Looks to Tokyo Nightlife Scene

ASICS‘ GEL-KAYANO 14 was one of this year’s most coveted footwear grabs, with the retro sneaker landing in more than a handful of eye-catching colorways. ASICS is already readying the sneaker’s 2024 lineup; joining the GEL-KAYANO 14’s all-gray and black-and-silver colorways slated to drop in the early new year, is the atmos x ASICS GEL-KAYANO 14, which draws design inspiration from Tokyo’s vibrant nightlife scene.
The GEL-KAYANO first dropped off in 2008, saw a stylistic upgrade in 2020, and an extreme resurgence in 2023. atmos’ bespoke model still leans into ASICS’ signature futuristic design and prioritizes comfort with its cushy GEL technology and mesh-lined tongue.
Looking to the neon lights and late-night train rides for aesthetic inspiration, the sneaker boasts a striking purple and gray colorway. Complete with an open-mesh base and black lacing, the metallic model is polished off with signature ASICS’ branding on the heel; no atmos branding is visible on the silhouette.
