McDonald's Indonesia Rolls Out Colorful 50th-Anniversary Hello Kitty Meal
Celebrating the character’s upcoming 50th birthday.
Sanrio is celebrating the 50th birthday of the beloved Hello Kitty character with a cute new addition to its menu.
McDonald’s Indonesia is offering a Hello Kitty-themed meal called Hello Kitty’s McDonald’s Prosperity. Each item included, from the burger box to the soda cup, comes in special edition packaging featuring the character alongside a pattern of her iconic bows.
Leading the menu is the Beef Prosperity Burger, a long oval-shaped patty and bun topped with cheese and onions. McDonald’s has swapped out its standard fries with a curly version. Customers can wash their meal down with a fruity soda, the Dragon Fruit Fizz.
While Hello Kitty’s McDonald’s Prosperity meal is exclusively available in Indonesia, McDonald’s Japan is running its own Hello Kitty 50th anniversary promotion, offering limited-edition plushies as Happy Meal toys.
The two collaborations only mark the beginning of a year of Hello Kitty birthday celebrations, leading up to the date of the character’s actual debut in November 2024.
