Nowadays, the rollout of an anticipated Nike sneaker is a process that is mostly out of the brand’s hands. It starts with a rumor and is then followed by early images of varying quality, Nike imagery and then eventually, a proper reveal. By the time the story is officially told, the sneakerhead community has established its own interpretation of the story, often based on conjecture and hearsay. Looking ahead to 2024, Nike is looking to disrupt this flow.

Yesterday, Nike hosted its first-ever SNKRS Showcase — revealing over 30 shoes to be released in 2024. The debut episode offered extensive detailing into each aspect of the shoes, with the following labeled collections: Classics, Retro, Air Max, ACG and SB Dunk Low “City of Love.” While many of the shoes have been rumored or revealed already, there’s a bevy of new first looks to enjoy and additional info about each shoe to indulge in.

The Classics Collection

Kicking things off, Nike looks to its “Classics” — shoes we continue to see revisited each and every year. The Air Foamposite One looks to play a key role here with both the “Royal” and previously-rumored “Eggplant” colorways making a return in 2024. A shoe that has been mostly-absent in recent years is the LD-1000, which has been revealed in a blue and gold presentation. Of course, it’s not a Nike lineup without Dunks and Air Force 1s. The Dunk Low is set to arrive in “Silver/Blue” alongside two CO.JP classics — the “Reverse Curry” and “Reverse Ultraman.” As for the Air Force 1, its low-top version is traversing the world with city-themed colorways celebrating Las Vegas (pictured above), Seoul and Shanghai.

The Retro Collection

On the “Retro” side of things, a range of old-school silhouettes are being revisited. Leading the way, the Clogposite, which is rumored to be the subject of a Supreme collaboration next year, is set to release in all-white, all-yellow and a slick “Chrome.” Five Pegasus 2005 colorways are also slated to launch, pairing contrasting colors throughout with a “White/Gradient” pair showcased as well. Rounding out this range, the Pegasus Wave and Air Terra Humara have been unearthed in black colorways while the Air Footscape Woven takes on a special “Rainbow”-colored woven element.

The Air Max Collection

Per usual, there’s plenty of Air Max releases to look forward to in 2024. In the brand’s official preview, the Air Sunder Max — reworked by COMME des GARÇONS Homme Plus in 2022 — has an in-line return planned. “Highlighter” colorways of green, pink and orange have been prepared with black and white detailing spread throughout the zip-up shoe. The “Big Bubble” lineup is also expanding with the Air Max 1 ‘86 revealed in “Royal Blue.” Lastly, the Nike Air 180 is back with two initial looks in “Ultramarine” and “Full 180” — an inverted take on the original “Ultramarine” colorway.

The ACG Collection

The heritage-infused Nike ACG line is set to continue with five silhouettes leading the charge. First up, the slip-on ACG Rufus looks to green and brown colorways that are both trail-ready. The ACG Izy similarly stars in the 2024 roster with a black colorway of the zip-up design showcasing its throwback presentation. Adding to the list, the ACG Exploraid in “Sage” and ACG Torre Mid in “Olive Grey” star alongside the ACG Mountain Fly 2 Low GORE-TEX “Sage” to complete the collection.

The Nike SB Dunk Low “City of Love” Collection

Last, but certainly not least, the Nike SB Dunk Low explores a Parisian “City of Love” theme, likely in alignment with Valentine’s Day next year. Two colorways have been prepared: one featuring an off-white look and the other favoring a “Burgundy Crush” that was spotted earlier this year.

There’s plenty for fans of the Swoosh to look forward to in 2024. Stay tuned for updates regarding all of these launches and more as the year nears its close. For more information about the debut of the SNKRS Showcase series, Nike put together its own comprehensive recap.
