Henbo Henning and Dave's New York Celebrate NYC with New Collaboration

Long-sleeve tees and hoodies, embellished with Henning’s artistic interpretation of Dave’s logo and salutes to New York City.

After first joining forces for a t-shirt printing workshop in 2021, artist and tattooist Henbo Henning and NYC workwear institution Dave’s New York are teaming up once again — this time for a full-on clothing capsule of hoodies and long-sleeve tees. Henning, a long-time Dave’s customer, has brought his signature style to the store’s familiar DNY logo lockup, loading it up with a joyfully chaotic collage that celebrates the Big Apple through a melange of different graphic embellishments.

Across two 10-ounce cotton face hoodies (olive and natural), two 6-ounce cotton tees and two totes (navy and natural for both), Henning spotlights icons of New York both factual and fictional. If you look at his graphic, you’ll see everything from a slice of pizza to a hoodie and hat-equipped pigeon and a train car with a gaping maw. A baseball bat-weilding King Kong returns from the first collection, bursting through the city’s skyline, and there’s a healthy dose of Dave’s branding as well: two vintage logos appear on the right side of the graphic, above an illustration of Dave Levy, the store’s founder.

“We believe that doing a collab is more than just two people coming together; it’s the opportunity to work with people you care about to create something special and different,” says Adam Levy, the owner and president of Dave’s New York. “We’re proud to work with Henbo, not just for the art he creates, but the person he is. When you care about your craft, when you care about your customers, and you work with integrity, then something great can come out of it.”

The Henbo Henning x Dave’s New York collection will release on Saturday, October 28, both in-store at Dave’s and on the Dave’s New York webstore.
