Parmigiani Fleurier Reunites With Revolution to Craft a Purple-Dial Tonda PF Micro-Rotor
Introducing the “Purple Reign.”
Revolution has partnered with Parmigiani Fleurier once again to collaborate on another limited-edition Tonda PF Micro-Rotor.
This time around, the two parties have decided to douse the sophisticated grain d’Orge guilloché dial in an alluring and regal purple hue. While “Serenissima,” the duo’s former collaborative model starred a bright and and energetic salmon-colored-dial, “Purple Reign” emanates a dark and sultry mood with its soft, muted hue.
According to Guido Terreni, Parmigiani Fleurier’s CEO, “Purple, for example, with the wrong expression can be overwhelming. But with the right modulation, the influence of some gray tonality, we’ve created a hue of purple that is so soft and subtle that it can combine perfectly with anything you are wearing, yet is powerful and singular enough that it is highly visually compelling when viewed in the steel and platinum case of the Tonda PF.” He also elaborates on the color choice being “so perfect in tonality that it can adapt to any situation and any style.”
The rest of the watch remains faithful to the Tonda PF Micro-Rotor: 40mm satin-finished case, delta-shaped skeletonized handset, date window at 6 o’clock, platinum knurled bezel, complete with the PF703 self-winding caliber.
With only 50 numbered pieces available, “Purple Reign” will be officially released on November 2, 10 p.m. SGT/ 10 a.m. EDT on Revolution’s website, retailing for 24,200 CHF (approximately $26,797 USD).
