Earlier this summer, Places+Faces reconnected with Havana Club to drop a new two-part collection. Nearly four years since their last collaboration, it marks an extra special installment, celebrating ten years of the lifestyle brand as well as Havana Club’s enduring involvement.

As part of the collection, Places+Faces presents a redesigned Havana Club seven-year aged rum bottle. Drawing on the warmth of Cuba, the special-edition piece models a label that features a palette of tones where Aqua Blue and details of white are contrasted with a bright yellow. Over the top, plus sign motifs are imposed in gold, signifying rays of sun whilst referencing the lifestyle brand.

“Our first collaboration with Havana Club was a friends and family only release and not widely accessible to the public so we wanted to create a new bottle that references that first design,” Places+Faces co-founder Ciesay says as he reflects on the partnership. “The Havana Club bottle was black and the middle logo was blue with pockets of yellow. Taking the blue from the middle, we made the whole label blue and added gold plus symbols in a raised effect. When the consumer holds the bottle, they can feel the design as well as see it. It feels extra special.”

Alongside the collaborative bottle, the lifestyle brand also released a capsule collection with hoodies and T-shirts. Incorporating on the fresh hues of the bottle, the pieces adopt gradient tones of blue to yellow on various branded prints. Take a closer look at the latest arrival in the gallery above.
