Out of the many collaborations that lifestyle brand Malbon Golf has served up over the last few years, its ones with the King of Beers Budweiser have been among the most sought after. There’s a certain timelessness to the red and white Budweiser branding that just seems to pair so well with Malbon’s laid-back and retro inspired approach to golf. So we were happy to see that after taking a break in 2022, the partnership which began in 2020 has been renewed once more.
Previous collections took inspiration from 90s hip-hop and streetwear culture, but this time the two brands are leaning into old school golf fashion with detailed embroidery, cozy knitwear and premium materials coming into focus.
Leading the charge is a crewneck fleece sweater in white with a large B logo with crossed golf clubs, Malbon and the Budweiser crown. The ribbed collars, cuffs and waistline are also detailed with piping, and the sweater is cut in a slightly relaxed fit allowing you to layer a polo underneath. Another highlight, and an example of the collection’s elevated aesthetic, are the pinstripe pants constructed of wool. In spite of their more formal look, a hidden elastic waistband adds a touch of functionality. Lastly, the classic pocket tee made of cotton jersey features a logo with the words “Budweiser Malbon Classic,” which sounds like a defunct pro tournament from the 80s.
The full collection can be purchased (by golfers aged 21 and over), from today, 1PM PST on Malbon’s site.
