As 2023’s release schedule starts to materialize,
First spotted in 1999 and last released in 2018, the “Gold Bullet” treatment stays true to its original form. “Metallic Gold/Varsity Red/White/Black” is the listed color palette with a mesh base covered by matching gold leather overlays as the focal point. While the colors seem brighter than 2018’s release, it is uncertain whether or not there will be a difference in hand. Additional detailing includes reflective highlights throughout the upper, a full-length visible Nike Air-infused midsole and “Varsity Red” branding elements.
A specific release date for the re-release of the Nike Air Max 97 “Gold Bullet” has yet to surface. Look for it to hit shelves via Nike and select retailers during Spring 2023 at a price of $185 USD.
Elsewhere in the world of footwear, a Nike spokesperson has informed Hypebeast that the Swoosh is not planning to raise the prices on Dunk models.
