Lil Uzi Vert Delivers Confident New Track "Flex Up"
Off their forthcoming EP ‘Red & White.’
Following the announcement of their Red & White EP last week, Lil Uzi Vert has dropped off a new Maaly Raw-produced cut, “Flex Up.”
Arriving on SoundCloud, the new track sees the rapper deliver a series of fast-paced bars atop a bouncy melody with a confident cadence. “Had to flex up, got my check up / I’m so special,” Uzi raps on the single. “Count your blessing, I’m the next one / Ain’t no nest one.”
“Flex Up” marks the third track to be released off the Philadelphia-born rapper’s forthcoming record, following “I Know,” produced by Sonny Digital, and “Space Cadet,” produced by Brandon Finessin, Bally and ShaunGoBrazy, according to SoundCloud. With three Red & White tracks out, the EP is expected to debut in full on the streaming service in the coming weeks.
Red & White will arrive as a precursor to Uzi’s upcoming third studio album and follow-up to 2020’s Eternal Atake, dubbed P!NK. The rapper announced the preliminary EP on Instagram last week alongside its official cover, which features Uzi painting what is believed to be the album artwork for P!NK in front of an audience.
