Craig Green's adidas Squash Polta AKH Is Built With Translucent Uppers
The see-through effect is symbolic for vulnerability and acceptance.

If there’s one thing to note about Craig Green, it’s that he never shies away from experimentation, especially when it comes to his footwear collaborations with adidas. The British menswear fashion designer has built up quite the portfolio with the Three Stripes and released footwear pieces that have honed in on premium materials, functionality and dimension, and now he’s ready to unveil one of his latest sneaker offerings which debuted during his FW22 runway show — the Craig Green x adidas Squash Polta AKH in Cream White/Sesame/Bold Green.
An array of playful colors see their way onto this forthcoming installment, but its most striking detail is its upper construction. The base has been designed with a semi-translucent build which has been incorporated to symbolize a message of vulnerability and acceptance. The reworked version of the 1988 silhouette has been formed with nylon uppers that are treated with “Sesame” panels and “Bold Green” stripes while “Cream White” hits apply to the interior lining and heels. Suede overlays located on the lower rear and around the toe box provide brighter contrast with their gray exteriors and come stacked above gum midsole molds. In addition, Craig Green’s moniker is printed on the lateral heel and the model’s name is printed in all-over fashion across the toe boxes and sides.
adidas has these lined up to release on July 27 for $220 USD online and on the adidas CONFIRMED app and HBX website.
Elsewhere in sneakers, Mr. Bailey’s adidas Originals “OZLUCENT” has been unveiled.
