In celebration of Footpatrol’s 20th anniversary, the sneaker retailer is presenting its latest collaboration with Japanese sneaker brand Mizuno for a new Wave Rider 10 silhouette in a “Rust” colorway.
The campaign for the shoe is based on the great outdoors and all of the natural elements that come with it. Whether that be water, ice, salt, acids, or plants, the latest Wave Rider 10 hones in on the natural processes of the planet while also exploring the beauties of the world that make exploring so great.
Footpatrol’s latest sneaker is crafted in a variety of different materials from hairy suede to closed mesh. Introducing “Driftwood Brown,” “Berry Conserve,” and “Green Milieu” hues, the colors for the design are inspired by the different stages of natural erosion. Customary Mizuno and Footpatrol branding can be spotted on the heel graphics too, while the paint-speckled midsole is crafted from durable rubber. Wave Technology — a plastic plate with integrated cushioning and energy returners — is used for the insoles and each pair also comes with tri-color hiking laces. To round off the anniversary celebrations, Footpatrol has packed its Wave Rider 10 in a special edition shoe box.
You can take a closer look at the Footpatrol x Mizuno Wave Rider 10 “Rust” above and it will be available in-store and on the Footpatrol Launches App on July 21 at 8 am BST (3 am EST) for £135 (approx. $160 USD).
