In his prime days of hooping in the NBA, Gilbert Arenas garnered a fan base across the globe for his insane three-point range and uncanny scoring abilities on the hardwood. In 2008, SLAM Magazine was afforded the opportunity to collaboration with adidas — his former sponsor — on the Gil II Zero, and it appears as though the Three Stripes is recalling this moment with the release of a SLAM-inspired adidas Gil Zero Restomod colorway.

Bold and bright accents are the main attractions of this court-ready sneaker. Orange, which likely speaks to the SLAM‘s signature color and the primary hue of a basketball, is added to the patent leather overlays that attach to the heels, tongues, mid-foot and toe tips as well as the midsole pieces. Black and blue tiger stripes appear on the mid-foot and rear, and an actual tiger logo is situated on the tongues to call out Arenas’ tiger chest tattoo. Additionally, the phrase “MY SWAG IS STILL PHENOMENAL” is emblazoned on the medial strap to salute the OG pair.

No release date has been announced just yet, but it’s likely that these will be dropping in the coming months.
