A staple in Jordan Brand’s annual offerings, the Air Jordan 3 has found itself in many different looks for 2022. Between retros such as the OG “Fire Red” and new approaches like the “Desert Elephant,” the classic silhouette continues to hold an important place in modern sneaker culture. However, there’s been a noticeable lack of collaborations involving the silhouette in recent years as the last one was 2021’s A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 3. This trend continues with yet another colorway designed by the Swoosh.

Found in “Dark Iris”, the Air Jordan 3 carries a familiar look. Beginning with the upper, it takes its standard form in white leather while the iconic gray elephant print overlays pair with purple accents at the heel, tongue and lacing system. Standard to the Air Jordan 3, the Jumpman logo is found at the tongue, heel and sockliner. A white and purple midsole pairs with a mostly gray outsole to complete the look.

Release for the Air Jordan 3 “Dark Iris” is set for August 24 via Nike and select retailers at a price of $200 USD.

Elsewhere in the world of footwear, LeBron James showed off a first look at the Nike LeBron 20 during a practice session.
